The east radiates under an endless ceiling
I settle into the comfort of the morning breathing
The calm and steady rhythm brings me to ease
Relinquishing my flaws, slowly I begin to see

Our lives are simply threads of wool
Tightly bound upon a spool
The common fears that we grow from
Are the stories being spun

I hear the echoes of my own
Narratives that are being told in a forgiven tone

Burnt out like a motel sign
Dated like the paintings hanging on the walls inside
